It is a matter of extreme honor to write this message as the Head Boy of the St. Mary’s Convent Inter College Lucknow for the scholastic year of 2016-2017. I can undoubtedly proclaim that this institution has transformed me and my personality holistically. My journey from an innocent kid to a grown up mature adult in this institution has been a fascination. The institution imparts quality education for the all-round development of student’s personality, instilling strong moral values to transform them into good human beings.

It is rightly said- “To be a Diamond you have to be cut and polished” and “to be a shining star your ought to be burnt”.

I thank this wonderful institution, especially my teachers, for imparting such moral and spiritual values which have polished and shaped me to become worthy of this post. My dear friends, we all have a leader within us. In the absence of leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leader seize the opportunity to change things for the better. We all must have a sole vision, which we should articulate clearly and peacefully on all occasions. So my dear friends recognize the hidden leader within you and work with full determination and exuberance to achieve your goals because leadership is nothing but ones capability to transform vision into reality.

Being a passionate and loyal leader I’ll try my level best to help the students of my college achieve their full potential and accomplish aspirational grades. I shall work to the ensure that all my fellow students are on the right path to do the best for themselves and for the society in future. I shall strive to maintain the school decorum and to do full justice to this responsibility bestowed upon me as a ‘St. Marian’, with almost liveliness, enthusiasm, wisdom, leaving no stone unturned with the whole –hearted co-operation of the entire students.

I would like to thank our honorable principal, Sr. Jyoti and the management for having faith in me. A sincere thanks to the student body for believing in me last but not the least I owe gratitude to my parents for their unflinching support and guidance because of which I stand where I’m today.

Thank you.

‘SMCIC’ the golden institution which began a half century ago, has enriched me with great knowledge and experiences in the past 13 years. I am surely the fortunate one since I have received this opportunity to express my feelings. I still remember the loving and caring sisters who took care of us when we entered the gates of St. Mary’s 13 years ago.

Being the head boy of the school, my only motive is to plan about the betterment of the school and do it in the best way possible. I will always remain indebted because of what the school has given me, still it will be my sincere effort to lend my helping hand whenever I get a chance.

To all my dear friends, I would like to say that ‘Never lose your focus and use your energy and resources strategically in the right direction to reach your destination.’

At last, I would like to express my gratitude to Sr. Jyoti, our Principal for making me realise my responsibilities and giving me this opportunity to develop myself as an individual. Also my parents, for whom if I start thanking, I won’t be able to stop myself.

Thank you.

I, Prince Mehta, the head boy of 2012-13, duly thank our Principal Sr. Roshni, school management and teachers for having confidence and faith in meto hold this position. It has been 13 years since I have been groomed in this school, from a tiny tot, to an individual having his own views. Today, I with my peers feel privileged sharing my views with you.

My vision for St. Marians is that they should set their goals and strive to achieve them. Coming first is not important, it’s the participation and healthy competition that counts. I encourage all the students to participate in a variety of academic, extra co-curricular, sporting as well as spiritual activities offered.

With the new E-Learning system of education, I feel that our school is in pace with this technological world where one simple click of the mouse can spread the news like forest fire. This step surely is in the right direction. I even appreciate the various orientations organized with a view to mould the opinion of the society towards its betterment, to bridge the gap between parent-child and teacher-pupil relationship.

Through our culture, valuable support and guidance of our teachers “Effort spells success” St. Mary will continue to bring lights and lives of students of students to come, leaving its footsteps in the sands of time…

Along with leadership comes a great responsibility I realized this on the day. I was appointed as the Head Boy for the academic year 2011-12 and was handed the school flag by the Principal Sr. Jane. The Feeling of immense happiness was accompanied by a great sense of responsibility and duty.

I would also like to extend my thanks to the Principal and all the teachers who have been an inspiration for me, my advisers and parents who have put their trust in me and thought me capable enough to hold such an office. I will try my best to live up to their expectations.

A good leader inspires people to have confidence in him, a great leader inspires people to have confidence in them, surely with the cooperation of students, guidance’s of teachers and blessings of God, the school will excel in the fields of academics and sports.

This year being the year for the annual sports I shall put in special effort to encourage the spirit of sportsmanship in every St. Marian and make them strive to excel in every activity keeping in mind the motto of our school.
